Davies Facing Months Out
Aston Villa defender Curtis Davies has completed a successful operation after suffering a ruptured Achilles during Saturday's 1-1 draw with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. The centre-back went under the knife in London on Saturday evening only hours after sustaining the setback during the first half against Arsene Wenger's side. He will return to the midlands later today and faces several months of recuperation and rehabilitation.
This is a major set back for Davies who is highly rated by new England coach Fabio Capello who had included the young Villa player in his initial squad.
