Woodgate Signs For Spurs
Jonathon Woodgate has signed for Tottenham for a figure of around £7m.
Woodgate turned down the opportunity to return to his former club Newcastle. He agreed personal terms yesterday afternoon after passing a medical with the club.
Rumours circulated yesterday that a third club had entered the race for the England International believed to be Arsenal however Woodgate’s agent refused to speculate on who the third party were stating that his client has already given his word to Spurs.
Woodgate is Tottenham's second signing of this month's transfer window following the capture of Chris Gunter from Cardiff.
